Blepharoplasty involves either removing excess skin from the upper eyelids or lower eyelids (together with any superfluous muscle). This involves restoring and tightening connections between the eyelid skin and the eye opening muscles, which have stretched out over the years. Protruding fat from the upper and lower lids often requires either removal or restraining. On the lower eyelid, we lift up skin or skin and muscle, re-drape it, and trim the excess.
